Very respectable showing by Whistler all the way around. We were all impressed. Performance was better than or comparable to the 9500ix in many categories, and not significantly lower in others. Whistler trounced all Belscorts in both responsiveness and stealth. And without responsiveness, the extra sensitivity of some Escorts is simply useless. I'll take a 78SE over any Escort any day.
Shows you that the sky is the limit for Mike B. and his team! Congrats Mike B. and keep the improvements rolling!
RIP Duncan my BELOVED black lab son 8/7/99-3/23/11. I will miss you DEARLY.

I have to admit that because of the GOL tests I have a new respect for Whistler RDs. They truly are one of the best RDs against I/O and QT.
Just a word of caution here. Remember, the Whistlers were all tested in filter mode. I consider running a Whistler in filter mode very similar to running a V1 with Ka guard off. There is no way I could even consider running a Whistler in filter mode where I live. When I tested the Whistlers, even in filter2, the Ka band falses still happened far too frequently, in my opinion. When I tested the Whistler's I/O responsiveness in filter2, they were not significantly better than my Escort RDs.

I don't want to be a pain here, but from what I understand you have always looked at the GOL test in high regard. Are you questioning the results now that they say that Whistlers outperform belscorts in instant on?
Now, your problems were with the falses. That can't be tested in a lab setting and is a reason why real world testing should also be used rather than doing a controlled test and letting that be the be all end all. I'm not saying that GOL should of done a real world test, that really isn't the type of things that we do, we actually already have a lot of information about real world performance from different users on the forums so an official real world test is not necessary, especially since you already have driven around with the SE for a significant amount of time DJ.
Again, I'm not trying to be a pain, it's just that looking back at some of the arguments that ensued when you tested the SE series, I'm left a little confused by some of the statements made in your post.
A lot of Se users will never have an issue with ka falses like me and Dj have here in LA. Only in Heavy 10 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic, 5 flowing one way, 5 the other, do I experience the most ka falses. With this I feel a very very small percentage of Whistler owners will have enough ka falses to be seen as an issue.
