Default 2.12 Update Process Please Read before updating

    Posting per Blinder Guys request

This is a clarified Update Procedure. The changes are only minor and just reflect the way the system behaves during the Erase Process and Programming Process so that the user understands in a little more detail exactly what the system is doing. This Update Procedure was review and OK'd by Blinder-Guy. The fields in RED reflect the clarifications.

    ________________________________________________
    ERASE PROCESS:
    1. Turn Off the power and remove the CPU from the vehicle
    2. Connect the CPU’s USB port to your computer.
    3. Highlight the "2.12-US ERASE" in the left menu.
    4. Click at the button "UPDATE CPU FIRMWARE"
    5. Return and install the CPU in the vehicle. (Plug all wires into the CPU)
    6. Turn On the power. VERY IMPORTANT: Wait for continuous beeps to stop. The LED will rapidly blink RED for approx 10-15 seconds for each head installed with a 1-2 second pause between updating each head. After updating is fully completed on all heads the system will go into a loop of beeping as follows: Beep-Beep...Beep. Beep-Beep...Beep. Beep-Beep...Beep.Beep-Beep...Beep, until the system is powered off.
    7. Turn Off the power.
    8. Turn On jammer system and the system will go into a loop of beeping as follows: Beep-Beep...Beep. Beep-Beep...Beep. Beep-Beep...Beep. Beep-Beep...Beep, until the system is powered off.

    PROGRAMMING PROCESS:

    1. Turn Off the power and remove the CPU from vehicle.
    2. Connect the CPU’s USB port to your computer.
    3. Highlight the "2.12-US" in the left menu.
    4. Click at the button "UPDATE CPU FIRMWARE"
    5. Make your personal settings: Park sensor ports – Startup Sound - Jamming Time - Alarm time after jamming - Parksensor Calibration, and click at the button "Save CPU settings"
    6. Return and install the CPU in the vehicle. (Plug all wires into the CPU)
    7. Turn On the Power. VERY IMPORTANT: Wait for continuous beeps to stop. The LED will rapidly blink RED for approx 10-15 seconds for each head installed with a 1-2 second pause between updating each head then the system will give you two beeps and a solid green light will follow.
    8. Turn Off the power.
    9. Turn On jammer system and two beeps and solid green light will follow, which indicates the system has completed the programming process successfully..

It’s IMPORTANT ALWAYS to complete the ERASE process before ALL programming processes / software updates.

Is there a way to recover if someone turns off the power before the erase or update of the heads is complete?

Yes! You punch them in the face and IMMEDIATELY revoke their Man Card for not being able to follow simple instructions. Then you hand them a dress and tell them go in the kitchen and make you an sandwich.

I always though real men use instructions as a last resort. When all alse fails, read the directions!?

no. Men who "think" they know what they are doing only use instructions as a last resort. Men who want it done right the 1st time read the instructions/directions.

When you connect your CPU to the PC and run the Blinder software, it will tell you the version you're running.

Sorry, maybe i'm being dense but all i see in the blinder app is:

    Status: CPU Connected
    Region Code: 2
    Software Version: 6

Also the sticker on the CPU says:
    7 Series, Ver.2, US-1721

So does that mean i'm up to date?
