Definitely. Not to mention it gets all of the clutter away. A cord dangling in a vehicle irritates the crap out of me.

Bunch of cords look has a very odd appearance over the RVM.

Yeah I plan on it, along with a super cup. I cant stand messing with the suction cups tring to get the angle right so its level and straight.

I actually let my RD rest on my rear view mirror a little bit. So not 100 percent of the weight is on the suction cups. I'd go to a known false location (walgreens or cvs pharmacy) and see if that tint is metallic.

Go to where you start getting alerts of the false location and move the detector above the tint line. If the bar graph goes down or it beeps less frequently, its probably metallic tint.

If its not metallic, mount your RD above your RVM behind the tint.
    I'll try this tomorrow.

24mph over posted limit !! Your gonna get nailed no matter what detector you have. Leo's won't even need a radar gun.

Keep in mind a detector just reduces odds a bit.

9500ix IMHO is for the casual (in my case absent minded) speeder. Think 10-15 over limit.

You might consider a 9500ci and Valentine if you want to drive that far over. And use a rabbit.

I like to think Radar owners drive "Smart", not speed .

Your mount looks fine. Sounds like your locals use instant-on. Sucks. Trust me, I know the pain.

I had a similar reaction to my 9500ix. What really bothered me was how many close calls I was getting out in the country where LEOs were using Instant On. I eventually bought a Redline a few months after it came out. Compared to my 9500ix, the Redline was a MONSTERRRR.

I noticed that I was picking up long range Instant On that my 9500ix wasn't, cutting all my close calls. I still have issues with ramp up of the both of them. They scare the $h!t out of me when I'm speeding through the country.
