    Default Escort Redline Ka Falsing?????????

Ever since I have been operating the STI R Plus with my Redline simultaneously, I have had four separate occasions where my Redline has falsed strongly on Ka 33.7XX (I don’t remember the exact frequency).* The areas where it has falsed, *have all been different cities and these cities do not use 33.8 Ka.* Prior to owning an STI R Plus, and just operating the Redline on its own, I NEVER had one Ka false.* Could it be a coincidence or could it be where my STi R Plus (antenna mounted in the cabin on the dash) is interfering with my Redline?* My Redline is mounted on the driver’s side visor.

Are there some new speed/red light radar traps in the areas? I have one near my work that picks up the Ka 33.599 or 33.617 frequencies.

Take down the STi R+ to see if the falses vanish.

I've observed that cobra RDs give a Ka false of 33.6. Sometimes though I'll get a Ka 35.4 false at start up.

    Be careful upstatedoc.

I would not take an individual singular experience to make general conclusions, especially one that has preconceived notions (ie; biases/beliefs).

I don't believe two M3's would certainly cause actual alerting between themselves. Especially at the distance claimed to have been used.

This post only serves to cast more doubt, not to provide definitive answers.

Until such time that there is definitive proof to the contrary, I will continue to stick with what the technical side of the manufacturer has maintained...that this is not the case.

However, I am going to get to this answer definitively and scientifically (that can be repeatedly verified). Although I am certain that those who relish in taking repeated shots (at me), will continue to do so, in any event.

    Stay tuned...

When did it do this? just driving around? When the RedLine & Plus are first started?

We all know there is normal electrical interference that is emitted by all electronics no matter how stealth it is. After all it is a remote unit and should be installed that way.

My guess is the antennas are too close to each other and your getting normal electrical interference. Or other falses have caused it.

It did this when driving around. I will look through my video footage and try and dig up the videos. As far as VGE goes, this has NOTHING to do with you or your signature style of operating multiple RD's simultaneously. I want people's opinions on this and see what they think.

Let's not lose sight of the fact the even if an RD "leaks" something, that something has to be at a specific frequency that could be seen by another as bonafide radar to either alert to it or to cause it to take an extended look at it, before determining whether or not to alert to it.

If a detector has leaking at say frequency X, that specific frequency and/or any of its harmonics would have to fall in the receiving windows of the other detector to be a potential problem (depending, of course, on the signal strength and its proximity and orientation to the other horn). If it doesn't, then you could have two detectors that leak like hell, but are totally compatible with each other.

Again, it's not so much whether a detector leaks or not, it's where/how it leaks. At least, that is what I believe to be true.

I just found it odd that I drove for months with the Redline and not one Ka false and now in 3 days operating it with the STI R Plus I get four?

Maybe it has something to do with my STI R Plus settings, or I just encountered a few Cobras in the wild the last three days.
