Welcome to the forum. The V1 is an excellent radar detector except it isn't immune to the Spectre. The Spectre is a RDD (radar detector detector) that some LEOs use to sniff out radar detector users. These RDDs are used in your state since RDs are illegal there.

Ya, I'm familiar with the Spectre. Have never ran into one, though. The X50 is immune, correct?

How much trouble would you get in if you got caught with a RD in Virginia?

91 miles total... 70ish is very nice country driving... last 20ish is not driver friendly... all of it patrolled very well between State, County and City police... Don't think I have had a day in three years without a radar encounter... Smithfield being the worst of them...

Welcome to the forum. I don't mean to start off on a negative tone. But Virgina sucks. Any place that you can go to jail for up to a year for going 20 mph over the limit sucks.

In the greater scheme of things, I would hope that we all don't leave VA just because of the speed limit... VA does have a couple of things that are very nice about it... I seriously do agree however that the legislature needs to re-evaluate that whole reckless driving gaffaffel...

What is nice about it? Just curious? Is it the traffic, Prince William County Police, the nice interstate that they are redoing, great fishing--sorry but as you can tell I am over this State..Trying to move and ending this 18 year( total) on and off again nightmare.
