ZR4 plus veil saved me with an ambush shot <500ft with the PL3. That and truspeed are really the only guns ZR4 can protect. Rear shifter does work only if the tag is targeted and nothing more.

On a small sized vehicle with Veil a ZR4 might be good enough but a Zr4 is nowhere near the same planet as an LI or Blinder

Well, it comes with the system. If the rear sensor does nothing, then they shouldn't even include it.

I had seven front saves out of seven with my ZR3s. I am pretty sure that five of them were against the PLIII, which the ZR3s do OK against. I believe the other two were against the Ultralyte, but as it turns out, it was pure luck that both of those encounters were at around 1000ft. When I tested my ZR3s against the Ultralyte, anything under about 500ft was instant PT. My luck finally ran out when I got tagged from the overpass. I learned my lesson and installed jammers that protect me adequately. Since then, I have quite a few encounters with the LIs that I am almost positive my ZR4s would have failed me, but we'll never know for sure since I'm now running LIs.

After looking at the GOL 2008 Jammer Test , the LI kicked the Zr4's ASS. The Zr4 didn't hardly JAM anything.

Trying to sell my 9500ci at the moment, I can tell you that 100% of questions asked regarding the zr4 is a fail. Questions asked where: does the 9500ci include the zr4 shifter? Wanting to buy to protect an SL500, Ram1500, 328, and A4. Just about everyone who wants it did not do there homework. I feel anyone who is not a forumn member knows nothing about jammers.
Oh, my favorite so far, does this unit jams radar too?

The ZR4 and PRE Blinder M27/M47's needed Veil where the new Blinders and LI's do not. This is all one needs to know about performance

So even the way I have my setup on the gto, It would be an utter failure if I got hit with a high powered gun? even from 500ft? Just curious, I figured all blacked out, no reflective area would be the best setup.
I don't have the back setup, I never had a rear hit here in KC.

Yes, My all black and no chrome Accord with ZR4 + Veil gave Instant PT with Ultralyte and Stalker <400ft even when aim directly at the heads.

Trust me, you got hit from the rear without knowing it.

Without testing, there's no way to know for sure, but I'd be willing to bet that a Stalker would get instant PT at 500ft, even with all three ZR4s sensors up front.

Since your rear jammer is mounted on the front, if you were tagged from behind, you'd never know unless you got a ticket.

Nice thread.

I always sit on the fence between Escort and all the rest. I think the Escort is a weak jammer but I think it's got bullet proof build quality. It's only had one service and that was just to replace a fitting. That said I would definitely go with a Li on any vehicle. I've personally seen these units JTG on all kinds of vehicles with all kinds of installs. I don't think Radar Roy has used "juiced" units.

And on the subject of the vette being an easy target. On one had it is. Because it can slip most Lidar shots but expect to get a lot of strikes.
