Laser Jammer Tester purchase

I must say I’m speechless at the latest contents of this thread.

If I may add to following.

I bought a Tester from Jammer in May 2008, in person. My wife and met him, went out for a drink with him, spent about 2 hours chatting. He in fact drove about 100 miles out of his way to meet us, because he didn’t want us to have to go out of our way while driving to Illinois.

Jammer made a very good impression on myself and my wife, dare I say we both thought he was a class act.

As some of you know I work in Social Services and consider myself a very good judge of character and BS. I deal with liars, cheats, criminals etc all day long. No alarms bells went off with Jammer.

IMHO, from what I witnessed of Jammer I fear that something catastrophic may have occurred that he would disappear like he has. This is just out of character.

I have all his contact information. I will attempt to contact him.

yeah me too actually. i was on the list of initial buyers, and he was a very good person and was prompt when contacted. but then all sorts of things happened with him and i decided it wasn't the time to bug him about matters like that. he came back for a bit on the boards after and i PM'd him and he was also quick to respond saying i would be on the next batch when they came in.

but that was the last i heard from him. i hope he's ok.

How to deal with paypal. Been there before and got burned too.

1. Never use electronic transfers from your bank like their echeck
2. Never use debit cards
3. Paypal always use your remaining account balance if there is a balance which cannot be redeemed.
4. Always dry up your account before making a payment
5. Always use credit card for payment. You can always call your credit card company and do a chargeback even if it has been a while back. Dealing with Paypal is a no win situation. Paypal cannot do anything when a chargeback is being processed. Work your problem with the bank for a chargeback.

I was in the second batch of testers. The first wave of testers were delivered and then I ordered mine. After about 3 weeks and no tester or Mr. Jammer, he came back online and said something about his Uncle passing or something like that. Another two or three weeks went by and I was getting worried but the tester finally arrived. I feel pretty lucky right now.
