    Default Will RD's become obsolete?

Remember your first RD? It wasn't soon after you bought it you had to go out and buy a new one.

So when will Radar Detectors become obsolete?
So why haven't the speed radar gun technology advanced?
Is KU band really coming back?
Look at computer's just 2 years ago. Mine is 1 year old and already considred outdated.
Speeding tickets are more expensive than ever before.
So with that more people are buying Radar Detectors hoping,
it will save them from getting a speeding ticket. (except of course those with low end detectors)
Do you think in the near future police radar will have a new frequency that will render radar detectors obsolete?
Is the military working with the radar manufacturing companies?
It's just something to think about. But not to worry about.
    What's your input?

Default the threat is already known

The threat is already known and has been created. It is called undetectalbe stealth radar. It works in the noise plain. The university of Flordia invented the technology. It has luckily yet to circumvent for it would be the end of radar detectors period! Here is how it works...

You ever use a CB radio before im sure alot of you have... right?

You've all im sure turned one on and heard the squelch shhhhhhhhhhhhh static sound? RIte?

K that is the noise plain...the static ... soo if you tried building a detector to pick up the frequency being transmitted in that plain you would receive a constant

beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep

As bad as rite aid and best buy being every building on the street

Making any detector utterly useless!!! There would be no point in even manufacturing one if this technology does spread lets pray not!!

Its already out there people!! Watch for it soon! At a Leo's car near you!!

From what I have read, that type of radar works only at extyremely short range. It's used to search rooms for hidden objects behind walls, etc. Probably not practical for speed enforcement.
