That sucks When I started getting into this stuff I remember reading the RMR stuff thinking "This is great!"

I ended up with a cobra mainly because I could buy one retail without ordering.

Then I found this place.

So do RMR units leak like cobra's? It took me a while (and more than a few falses) to become a true cobra hater...

I don't think there is enough hard data to say yes or no because there aren't that many RMRs being sold. I'm sure now, depending on how long RMR stays on Best Buys inventory, we will be able to see shortly. My guess is no, they wont leak.

I was just looking on BB's site and it appears (at this time) that the RMR products are available online only. Which means they aren't stocked in stores, at this time anyway.

So at least there won't be impulse in-store purchases of these pieces of junk, since one has to order them online.

Also, they're vastly overpriced. Those on a budget will be seeking the Cobras and Whistlers. Hopefully those looking to spend more will go for the Escorts. Speaking of Escort, the BB site says the X50 has 8 bands. 8?? Even in the specs, they list X, K, Ka, and laser, that's 4, if you count POP that's 5. Where'd they get 8?
