Selling V1 and trying an STi

Well i loved my V1 but decided that the urge was too much and decided to put my V1 on ebay today and when i get the money form the sell, i will purchase a new STi. It is true that i am injected with the "trying and having the best disease". Hope i didnt make a mistake.

The STI is a great alternative. I drove with one for about 2 months

Hey hookem202, i hope you get some good money for your V1. You wont be disappointed with the STi. It's the professional drivers choice :wink:

Reading Beltronics website on the detector comparison table. The Sti also has 2 antennas. Never seen this before. I love my V1 and its performance but the disply needs some work. IDK just a personal preference. Who knows, maybe in the 30 trial, i might change my mind and get another v1. Just had to give it a whirl. [replacer_img]ops: [replacer_img]

what the heck is "Range vs. Imports"? how many RDs are imports?

I was planning on getting it from roy bc he said he would let me know when Beltronics put out the new firmware fix on the 33.8 ka-band bug. I just dont know. I want to get it from him, but if i order from direct from beltronics then i get the 30 test drive. I like the service i got with roy in the past and like to support the middle man. I just not sure if i will enjoy the Sti and might want to go back to the V1.

I own the STi and the V1 and I find they are VERY close in detection abilities. My V1 wins on laser and K band, but X and Ka are too close to call. I think my STi is a bit better on X and about dead even on 35.5 and 34.7 Ka.

The STi is also very user friendly with the ability to quickly change the settings. Yes, the V1 allows you to change the settings, but the STi feels very plug and play with it's easy to understand setup options.

Also, the STi isn't as chatty as the V1, which is very nice for in town driving. Put it in City/City No X and I believe K band false alerts are reduced even more.

The STi is the best Bel RD I have owned and in fact I don't even take my RX65 out of the case anymore. I never use it!! (heh) However, I drive a lot on the highway, so I find myself slightly favoring the V1. But, either way both RD's are great! Just depends on what you are looking for.
