    Due to posting rules on certain websites URLs. The question about the ix, one can search on the web for there are many "radar detector comparison test" with the ix included. One has to remember that a heavy filtered RD like the ix does not have great range nor speed, not a great open road RD, but a Metro RD to block your normal route door openers...

    Ok. But how about if I disable all the filtering in IX? i.e. Run on HIGHWAY AutoLearn TruLock OFF SWS OFF TRL OFF

    Sorry, but filtering that I speak of has to do with the internal design of the RD that slows the RD and hurts performance. I think the ix is for people who drive to work on the same route every day, to lock out all false alarms, and ones who hate all false alarms. If I had an ix and drove it on the open road, I would sell it and get the unfiltered seg'd Redline that would false more, but save me more on the weak signals far out for a heads up.
