Good to see someone has seen this first hand. I just hope this is the same for the ix.

I was just wondering if during the time when a 9500ix is automatically storing a marked "false" location, is the 9500ix not able to detect any radar/laser? I was wondering if during storing process...
I confirmed with Escort support sometime ago that the mute button on the Smartcord CANNOT adjust the volume of a 9500ix unlike on Bel models. Smartcord button is only for muting, and marking...
Thank you, Gothenburg for the quick reply and the practical advice. Truly appreciated.
I will be in St. Louis, MO for several days on business and wanted to know if it is illegal to have devices like RDs and portable GPS mounted to the windshield. If so, is it actively enforced?

aaseavey,
Do you have POP on? If so try turning it off and do your k-band testing again. Do you notice if k-band sensitivity improves?
Thanks,
NAiLs,
Try shutting off POP and see how the K-Band detection goes. See my experience with POP ON and Off here:

Hope this helps. Good luck.
I would tend to agree. I really think selectivity is what's affected. If not selectivity then the threshold to trigger a K-Band alert, in my case, is lowered thus having earlier warnings and more...
I recently turned OFF POP on my RX-65 and I have found that I get K-band alerts earlier and more consistently where there is a valid K source. This is based on 4 weeks of daily driving with POP...
GOL and Roy,
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy lives to do this for us.
Thanks.
Just wanted to know if I will get an alert from the jammer if it picks up any residuals. Not looking to jam residuals.
Jim,
Would you happen to know which jammers are more sensitive than others?
Thanks.
All,
I picked up a confirmed laser shot today on I-95 with my RX-65. I am not sure if the Range Rover about 3 cars lengths ahead of me was shot and I picked up the residual or I was targeted...
Yeah. I've noticed this too on I-287 and NJTPK. They are definitely very selective. This makes them very very deadly. I've gotten a few Kband IO's heading north before the I-78 and I-287 split.
Oh please stop with the v1 this, v1 that. We all know the pros and cons of the different rd's. The poster is looking for answers to his specific questions. Stop the bashing already. He is not...
Very cool indeed!
Thanks everyone. That is what I thought.
Are there any restrictions in using a RD in NYC ( all 5 boroughs )? A friend of mine says there is but I am skeptical. I searched here but found no topics relating to this.
Thanks.
I think pbboy is saying the RD distinguish a scatter pick up from a direct shot. Is this right?
TrooNorth
Nevermind. I saw your earlier post that you bought this off ebay.
TrooNorth
Just curious. From what vendor did you buy the RD from?
TrooNorth
I have always wondered about this as well.
Thanks for the insight jimbonzzz.
TrooNorth
Wow! Thanks for the heads up Roy. I better lower my RD. Great site by the way.
Hello,
I am not sure if my rx-65 is defective or is out of tune, but I have been seeing many state troopers after they have pulled over someone but my rx-65 has been very quiet. Has anyone else...
