Power cord length question

I had to replace my power cord for my hardwired V1 and I replaced it with a new 30ft cord. The only thing I was worried about was that it was significantly longer than thee one that was replaced. Will there be any issues with having the electricity travel over that long distance? Should I get a shorter cable?

Well the length of the cable will effect the power over a long distance, but probably not that much in this case because of the small amount of power and amps we are talking.
Mine appears to be fine and its about 15ft long. IMO cut off the excess.

I use a slightly longe than average one when driving my 83 grand marquis because I plug it in to the rear door cigarette lighter because the front one I use for my XM and have been too cheap to buy a splitter. It does not seem to impact performance in any way.

At 425 mAs in alarm, that is almost a 1/2 of an amp at 30 ft. With the tiny wire in telephone cords, do not use anything else on the cord and one should be fine....
