That is already happening somewhere. I can't remember where, but if you get caught speeding more then like 15 over twice, they take your car.

That would be a good state to drive a $500 beater car. Just let them have it.

On the GOL testing, I am assuming your talking about its laser detection ability since you guys weren't testing radar... So what kind of tests did you subject the STI to that everyone is impressed?

Rumors since the discovery of the IF leakage has gotten out of control, people see a post about the STi leaking and they do not read/understand what it is about. If the Sti was leaking anymore than it already is, the gentleman that spotted the IF leak would have found the others, he did not, this IF leak is the only source, and as said before it is currently a non issue. Best case senerio if a unit was actually built just to detect ONE radar detector, the police department is not likely to drop a wad of cash just for one radar detector that possible will have a new patch to filter this leakage, can you see the amount of wasted money this puts the police departments in, they are not going to waste their money on somehting like that. Let alone the time that it would take to put enough STiRDD in the field to make you trip upon them. And in case people did not know already, RD's like Beltronics, Escort, are eventually paper weights, if you want a RD that is truly upgradeable get a V1, if you want the lastest RDD immune technology, STi is the one and only, but have to keep it hidden!

But so what? Cops don’t use this to look for radars so my care factor is zero.
Btw I live in a area where you get in more trouble for a RDD than you do for a small amount all drugs.
RD = on the spot confiscation + Court + loss of licence min 3months + $2,250 fine.
cops & fast food send out that frequency - my rx65 & bc246t saved me from certain death from a leo backed in to a creavice in the hill I was going over, facing away. the CC feature on the uniden scanner was going absolutely nuts for .5-.75 miles, the rx65 was too. I listened in, it was data @ 435.XX mHz.
Good to hear about the Close Call feature working on the Uniden! That is one reason I bought the 396!
