Ver. difference the 5.5 vs. 5.6 on the V985???

what changed on the ver. 5.6? Even though I bought it for $50 should I send it in to be upgraded since it can be re-flased.

AFAIK BEL will not reflash RDs. They'll tell you the version change was for manufacturing purposes only. If your 985 is working well a firware change won't do much for you anyways.

I have 5.3, 5.4 and 5.6 versions. Not much difference. You may really like the city all function. Check it out.

Yeah, I know. But it has never happened. At least there has never been a report about it. So far it is only a "theoretical" upgrade.

For example, the 985 cannot be upgraded to detect POP radar. Many performance upgrades require at least some hardware upgrade too, and BEL simply does not do that.

why do you like the City All option?

I like the invert display and Mr. Bracket combo and the city all feature which will audio alert to threats after a preset threshold.

That's good to know. It also shows that new software versions do not necessarily mean better performance. They are often for
manufacturing purposes only.
