Bel IO alert not there?

I wanted to post this here to see if anyone knows the answer to this question. To summarize, what I am asking is, do the IO alerts sound different to you? If so, why does the RX65 have a different alert sound for IO than the STi?

Yes I think so. The Bel is more like SLOW THE F DOWN NOW! I know when I hear mine alert for IO Ka-band, I just about have a heart attack even if I'm not speeding. The STI doesn't seem it would give me the same feeling. I guess the beeping isn't close enough together for such a serious threat IMO.

I'm not sure why they are different though.

That's a neat alert on the 65 for IO... the STi is not as urgent.

I found a K band source today and tried turning my RX65 and STi off and turning them back on (only running 1 detector at a time) to see if it would alert as if it was IO, but no such luck. I am 99% sure my STi doesn't have this rapid 3 beep alert to IO. I am not sure about the RX65, but I do know I've never had it alert to IO like the one in the video. Could they have changed this with the firmware on the newer rev's????
