Default Calling on PERTH WA Bel Pro Users

    Hi...

I have a bel pro Rx65 and live in PERTH WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

I'm new to radar detectors and would like to know your settings on the bel pro to get the full potential.

My girl friends dad and I both have one and get inconsistent readings on multanovas but laser / cop cars and alike... perfect!

I clocked the speed camera at 100 - 280 meters on Highway mode with a camera facing to road... for the perth people playing at home iI got readings on Beechboro Road heading north just before caltex 200-280 meters.

The detectors are in a FORD XR6 and FORD GT mounted just above the window wipers dead centre....

X OFF - K ON - KA INTL - POP OFF - KU OFF - LSR ON - SWS ON

Firstly is that how it should be set? should it be at that height? should pop be on or off?

Any tips or tricks to get it perfect?

    CHEERS in advance!

These are the settings I would run if I were you. With cars that have a steeply raked windshield I like the high above the RVM mount as long as its not blocked by the darker sun strip tint.

Don't run USA mode in AU. It will not detect multanova cameras at all in USA mode.

Cops in WA dont use X or POP
K ON KA int Laser On .
I run both a Escort X50, LP905 (Skyline) and a Bel 995, Blinder M40(Holden). Mulitnova cameras are always inconsistant to get clear readings. Ive actually had the same camera at the same location give me 500 metres warning and then half hour latter 200 meters. Did the operator ajust the position. I dont really know.
The height of your detector sounds about right for all types of detection.
I run mine high as I let the LP905 and Blinder detect for the laser hits.

    Cheers

Mount your detector up high next to the rear view mirror, this will give you better range on a camera...i got 500 mtrs the other day.

I tend to mount mine high because of the Cops mobile radar.
Have you tested the high mount theory for the Multinova (KA) on the same camera with multi runs.?

yes there has been many tests and they all say High is better for radar....I have done different runs with my detector high and low on low power K band camera cars and i always got a minimum 50mtr extra range by mounting high.

Perth also I got 250m-275m Ka 34.196Ghz alert (Multanova), dead straight section Canning Hwy Alfred Cove, doing 60km/h in 60km/h zone. Hwy Mode, K off, Ka Int on, Laser on, SMS off, POP on (Just in case it gets introduced without my knowledge), Ku off. RX65 Pro. I turned around and did 2 more runs at it. 1 in City mode (150m-200m alert), and Autoscan (50-100m alert). All with velcro dash mount centre clearing wipers. Can I do better or is this the performance I should get? I am also new to RDs. Not run into LASER yet!
