Default Returned the V1 bought a STI from Roy

as the title states i felt the v1 has way to many falses under every mode the V1 had it was way too annoying on the city or expressway so its getting boxed up (within the 30 day limit) and going back...do I have to call V1 to get a rma? well looks like i will have the STI for about 1 year and then i will get the new escort throught Roy once all the bugs are worked out,

^ Supposedly some time towards the end of the first quarter. But that's Escort's projected time-frame, which, as Roy mentioned in his blog, typically is "optimistic" by about a month or so.

I guess we're all keeping our fingers crossed that the GOL can get their hands on an actual production model for testing, in-time.

why dont they just adjust their testing frame window to include it. It probally is the biggest release of the last and this year.

Wonder how long it will be before people are reporting self cal or service required messages? On the 9500i.

Now that would just be too easy, wouldn't it, my friend?

This kind of thing is pretty common for a lot of different manufacturers - not just Escort, and not just of countermeasures.

Just because cars are on a shorter product-cycle and DVDs are rolling out sooner and sooner doesn't mean that everything else is joining-into the rush. There's plenty of manufacturers out there who either like to "build-hype," in hopes of increasing initial sales, or otherwise simply routinely fall-behind in terms of pre-production beta-testing or even run into problems on the new assembly lines that they are known for delays.

I agree, it'd be nice for them to just set a "real" date, but let's face it - if they set even a May deadline, they'd probably find some way so that the product doesn't step on-market 'till June.

Back in med-school, my wife had a lovely little saying: "work expands to fill time allotted."
