Probably someone with a leaky Crapra. I have that problem with my V945. I can be on a 4 lane, slow lane, other car on the other side slow lane, and get a full reading on Ka as someone with a Crapra passes. Good thing my local LEO's use K so I know it's a false.

I rarely have a false because of Cobras, and when I do, it is usually K, not Ka.

Every Cobra I've ever confirmed as being the source of my false, was on Ka. Course, it could depend on the model being used.

I wasn't saying that you were wrong, just my experience. Being in VA, I don't see a lot of RDs

    Default Cobras

Most Cobras will set off our "higher" end units. :x

Some Crapras false on K, others on Ka. What you experience with the full burst is normal. My 985 does that too. The signal from the Cobra is so strong that it overrides the false alarm suppression system.

My guess is a true ka radar source because leakage from other RD's are not strong enough to get to "full meter" specially on the bel units. The ramp up of the Rx65 is not as good as the V1 or X50. The radar operator may have used a quick burst of radar and turned it off. A case of instant on. It may be an unmarked car. The signature with having a full meter is most likely a true radar source. I have never experience a "full meter" with other RD's even with the V1 that has 2 antenna's.
