New STI User Quick Questions

So I just got my new Bel STI. I am assuming it is the latest version, but am not 100% as I have not checked.

Anyways I was curious about the external speaker. I am one that listens to my music cranked, and am wondering just how loud is the external speaker? Anybody here use it?

Not that loud..May want to call Beltronics. I bought one in summer. got hot in FLA and said Service Required on display.

I had my STI back in 4 days and something about internal speaker replacement and new antenna horn!

I have used bird dogs since the fuzz buster and whistler were the size of Kleenex boxes and I love mine.

Better mount low and pointed toward headlights for laser...but better put display on bright and put right in front of your face if jammin on the road.!!!

I run with x off, k off, ka on laser on and sws on with tech display on display. on highway mode with auto mute off. however I do have to reach down and mute sometimes...I have picked up Fl hwp at least 8 miles away with full on ka...but, flat land!

Make sure no K in your area before disabling K band....CVS drug store door openers in K band..is only false I have ever gotten

in my expierence....if starts barking in ka band...it is real...may never find him...but it is real at 37.550-600 in FLA.

^Foot FL does have some K-band gun so be careful...And mount your detector high and pointed streaight down the road. Detecting laser is useless unless you have a jammer :wink:

Have viel and sti and so far so good! I-4 last week FHP Motorcylcles plus 2 chase cars were running Laser saturation. Felt like I should have bullet holes in me, got shot by every last one. Not much warining but enough unless u were running stupidly fast! I guess running front of the pack makes u a target for cross hairs...go figure...I got mine low and pointed down toward grill. I get plenty of warning usually, even if the old bird dog just barks and shuts up...I know something is up! Still pick up from behind well in a pick up truck....Just following radar roys advise...I always thought high was best...Roy says low and sloped to pick up the beam asap..
But I agree with your reply....If they want u with laser, they can have u. Got to save up for the Blinder thought!
