You must have the all new "Helen Keller" special edition RX65 that doesn't say anything. Did you try beating it with the smart cord?

Open it up and look at the speaker. The speaker wires are brittle and tend to break, maybe that happened. If that isn't it, then most likely the speaker itself is bad and needs to be replaced.

My RX65 has very little sound. Came that way in november. I bought the external speaker works great now.

had the same problem, sent it in and got a brand new one back =)
