Default 4.5 to 6.3 filter question

Hey, as some of you know I purchased a new RX-65 for myself and gave the 4.5 to my wife. Loved thew 4.5 and figured I would see how it stakes up against the 6.3...Anyway, my question is, has the k band filtering improved with the 6.3? I ask this becuase my new one doesn't beep where my 4.5 and my old V1 always beeps. As a matter of fact, I pretty much have to be on top of a k band door sensor in order for that thing to beep.

Where I live is strickly Ka band so I have not encountered a real threat, however I could be moving in the near future and want to be sure this thing is good. To me it appears that the filtering has improved, considering my 4.5 was an early 4.5. Let me know what you all think

Keep in mind folks, the thing performs beautifully on Ka band so that is what led me to my thesus

I know this, but this new one is way way less sensitive on K band. I am talking worse then Cobra as far as door sensors go. Anyway back to the question, Is the FILTERING better on K band with the new 6.3?

I just purchased a new Vector 995 rev 6.3. It is numb on K band to the point that I am going to return it for another. As you said, you have to be right on top of the door opener to get a response. I'm also still disappointed with bel's continued paltry ramp up.

    aaseavey,

Do you have POP on? If so try turning it off and do your k-band testing again. Do you notice if k-band sensitivity improves?

    Thanks,

I have a newRX-65 and K range against LEO is very good. But door sensors drive me crazy!Just way too sensitive,or not enough filtering on K-band.But overall very good detector.Never regreted the money I spent for it!

    Thanks,
No man I do not have POP on. I have always said that is a useless feature.

I am aware the STI is a great RD, and so is the RX65, but how does that really answer my question?
