Ill remote mount mine as I will hook it into the cheetah mirror and run the alerts from there

    Hi Bob,

The STi is your best bet for undetectability and quality. More and more truckers are seeing the advantages with the stealth technology.

I like the baseball cap idea. I have seen this before in cabs. You may also want to try and mount it on the rear cab wall back behind your head. Now granted it MIGHT reduce sensitivity ability, but visual stealth is your main concern and would offer just that. You also mentioned that you don't speed and this will be used to break up boredom on the road so this might be the best option for you.

Enjoy your new STi and keep us updated.

Buford T. Justice I think thats a good idea mounting further back in the cab as I'm using it just for fun and to learn it to keep me out of trouble when riding my bike.

I'm calling Bull$hit on this one.

    1. There are no Mounties in Ontario except to protect Federal buildings and foreign embassies. Large(r) munipalities have their own police forces, and the rest of the province is patrolled by the OPP.

    2. Police do not randomnly enter peoples cars/vans looking to find "something". Although under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act a police officer can search your vehicle without warrant if he believes it has a detector, there has to be probable ground for the search ie: spectre 3

When I've been pulled over in my tractor and I'm out talking to one I've had the other officer try and open my door and get in, but I always lock my doors when I get out.

Why would I make something like this up?

Call bull$hit all you like. It happened, and I saw it on may way out of the gift shop with my RCMP t-shirt in hand. It was, like 1980 BTW.

Not going to argue with you, because you know what they say ...
