What manufacture date is Bel shipping on the STI now?

Sent in my old one due to the 33.8 issue, would love to know if it is now safe to order a new one from Bel.

call them and find out. Purchase one and ask before they send it to ya to have them flash with newest firmware fix.

Thats the whole thing with these things. The guys on the phone at bel are sales guys... they tell you what you want to hear. "Flash it for you? Suree!!!" - meanwhile you never really know.

I went ahead and ordered a new one today - hoping for a 2707.

I ordered mine Monday and received it Wensday. Its dated 2407. I would be pissed if it don't have the update.

I'd call and ask, we know all new units with week 27 have the software but I'm willing to bet anything new leaving the factory would probably get it as well.

I called customer service this morning and talked to Ashley and she said that all the recently shipped ones are updated. So I guess the only way I will know for sure is to get some hits.

this is what burns me. you dont want to honor your warranty fine but leaving your customers unprotected with no way for them to verify is #1 in the evil company practices list. just like microsoft with vista.
anyway, this is the last bel i buy...stealth or no stealth encouraging evil businesses is just wrong.
