I have heard of the Bel 855 STI and I have some testing on that one but not the Bel 845.

I found this on ebay about the 845 STI:

Shadow Technology making it undetectable to the Interceptor VG-2 or any other Radar Detector Detector (RDD).

Safety Warning System detects encoded signals from sws transmitters and provides 60 Text Messages for: Highway Construction/Maintenance, Highway Hazard Zones, Weather Related Hazards, Travel/Convenience Information and Emergency/Slow Moving Vehicles.

Detect transmissions in the X, K, and Super Wideband Ka frequencies.

Laser detector detects energy far outside the main laser beam including off-axis signals, providing the largest achievable 360 degree field of view.

Comes with manual and list of Safety Warning System Alerts

I would stay away from that. It is not in the same league as the newer BEls starting with 970, 980, 985 and on up to the RX-65.
