Default Sti Flashes "Service Required" in cold weather

    Anybody having this same problem.
When the temp is 40 degrees or less, the "Service required" message
comes on. When the car warms up to 60 degrees, it works fine.
Do you think it needs to be sent in?

Your STi shouldn't do this at 40 degrees. It needs to be sent in. How old is your STi? What is the four digit mfg date code which follows the serial number on the sticker?

I bought it from SBH corp a month ago, they take the serial number off it.
I think they get them out of Mexico, (with no serial number).
The factory won't service them with no serial number.

Buyer be aware!!! How much did you pay for it?

At least you can do this: press all three buttons while powering up and see what firmware you have installed... mine has been working flawlessly since I got it brand-new from Roy in Sept '06 and damn cold up here, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
