Default STI Driver with ''service required'' problem

Since i was getting my STI Driver directly from Beltronics (almost two months ago) i used it for a couple of weeks and it performed well.
I was pleasantly surprised with the good detection on the (hard to detect) Multanova C radar and the Gatso radar (both K-band).
But since 1,5 week i noticed a ''beep beep'' alert and the text ''service required'' on the display after 10 min. i switched the STI on :?

Today i did a test to see what type of software version my STI have and the display says A7 M9. Productiondate was 4807

I am wondering if someone had the same problems and can tell me if there is a solution for this (something i can maybe do by my self...)
Sending the STI to Beltronics from Netherlands (where i live) is one of the last options i will take, because it will take a lot of time to send it for repairing.

Never know try a reset first and see what happens. I read recently that another member on this board bought a STi from RadarBusters and within a week had the service required come up too.

Because this is an overseas case, I strongly advice you to call Beltronics and explain them in full detail about the malfunctioning, your STI has got full warranty, they should pay for the shipping back and forth as well plus some insurance, you know it's gonna get here and then back to you by cargo plane, thousands of packages and boxes all piled up one on top of another, don't expect the delivery people, UPS or FEDEX or DHL to take special care of your little box...

Can you call 1-800 phone number from Holland?

Also you have a Beltronics authorized dealer located in your country, maybe they can make some arrangement to get you a new STI, free of charge of course...

    Best of luck...

You meant e-mail, right?... no idea how long, up here we are using the phone especially when they provide us with free phone numbers, the best and fastest way to get a straight answer is by calling them on the phone and talking with the live person... wait some 24-48 hrs and then e-mail them again or get in touch with that local Dutch Beltronics authorized dealer, maybe they have a faster solution... the good thing for you is that you bought it directly from Beltronics so you got 1 year warranty on the STI... don't give up, e-mail after e-mail and sooner or later they will send you a reply... all the best to you

If you meant you sent them a e-mail, they're quick to respond. They may not have responded to you yet because it was a weekend. Their customer service hours are posted 8am-6pm EST Monday-Friday.

Go to the Escort web site instead. Then use the Online Chat tool found at the top of the page after you click on Service and Support.

Thanks guys for your attention to help out with this problem.
This morning i contacted Target Automotive Europe (located in Netherlands) and official Beltronics retailer.
The problem is that they dont want to do official repair to RD,s since RD,s are completely banned out by law since the year 2004.
They also not deliver the STI Driver, only STI R (via Germany, where selling RD,s is not illegal)
Justice will take an eye on them since they,re not allowed any more to sell or repair RD,s for customers in Netherlands.... :?

I will wait untill i get a mail back from Beltronics, otherwise i will send a second mail to them
