I just got my RX65 detector back from Bel,My version is 6.2. Antenna repaired and updated.

Just because you send it in does not mean you will get updated firmware. The first time I sent mine in, my firmware was upgraded from 6.1 to 6.2. The second time, it came back with 6.2 on it still. I can assure you that 6.3 is the newest firmware, as I have seen it with my own eyes.

I got a card included with my RD when it was repaired and returned signed by the Tech. Card said flashed firmware,repaired antenna. Is newer version then what I had previously.

I have no explanation as to why they would update you to 6.2 and not 6.3. All I can say is that 6.3 is indeed the newest. However, I have only seen it on brand new models out of the box. Has anyone sent their Bel RD in with an older version firmware and had it come back with 6.3 on it? Perhaps there is some sort of hardware difference, because mine too recently came back with 6.2 on it instead of the 6.3 I assumed they would upgrade it to.

Firmware versions can also be tied to the particular LED display model used inside the Belscort RD, and sometimes are tied to other specific component changes as well.

For example, my STi has the old display board which uses a photocell whereas fairly recent STi's use an IC photo sensor. So, no matter what firmware updates I may get for my STi in the future my STi will always display its firmware as A4M9 unless its display board gets swapped out for the newer one with the IC photo sensor.

Thus my point is that if Belscort said that they flashed your firmware with the latest version yet your RD still displays the same firmware, don't fret about it -- your RD really was flashed with whatever the latest firmware is.

I really don't have a clue, but here are my thoughts...

Depends on if they have done any more tweaking to the signal processing and filtering algorithms since last year. My guess is that things haven't changed since last summer when Belscort addressed the STi 33.8 issue and somewhat improved the 9500i performance. All of the Belscort RDs in GOL's August 2007 tests performed very consistently and very well. So since then Belscort probably hasn't made any significant changes to the firmware which directly affect performance. Since last summer its probably been just minor stuff like reducing laser falses or possibly reducing falses from false radar sources. Anyway, this is all just a guess on my behalf.
