Smile 955 Placement is this ok?

I got a 955 and had it installed proffesionaly; is this placement ok.

Ones picture from the inside and the others from the outside. Its kind of grainy I used my cell phone sorry.

    Thanks

first time excited to see a cop with a Lidar gun.

Also is the 955 good for the following I live in MA. got the following info off this site

Massachusetts (thanks cincyreds, kevblah, StlouisX50, Sufu)

    Arrlington: Laser
    Brookline: Laser
    Nahant: K, Ka
South Attleboro: K, Ka (updated 04/28/2008)
State Troopers: K, KA and Laser but mostly Laser (I think LTi Ultralytes). The newer Crown Vic's use Ka, and theres one unmarked tinted out Impala SS that uses Ka. This is mostly through Rt2/128. (updated 05/13/2008)

and LTI Ultralyte, LTI Marksman, Laser Atlanta

    Will the 955 detect those?

    Thanks

your detector should be flat and level to get the best result. by the looks of things its pointing downwards.

x2...also Yes your 955 will pick up X, K, Ka but with laser you can pick it up but the only time really is when you are hit with it and dead...u may pick up scatter from another car but its unlikely...they only way to defend against laser is to get a jammer

i think the spot is fine but where do you have your power outlet going. it looks like it is not hardwired but just the outlet going underneath the top frame.

$70!! woah... a lot of guys do it themselves here..i dont tho..take it to a local audio place and it should be around $25 to hardwire it with a flat RJ-11 cord so its not rele visible at all

and I thought I got a good deal. At least its cheaper than having the Laser/Radar detector installed at the Lexus Dealer over $800 for a quote, but I think it includes a whole system. A bargain in that sense.

That is a good place for it, though. I have had my 955 in that exact spot in my car for about 9-10 mos. and it's worked great.

    Question

one last question. Does it have to be like perfectly level and center? Becasue its been in the general area pictured, but I keep on making minor minor adjuments as from different agles it looks center and then other angles make it look not centered. Mines kind of to the right of the center of the car and the windsheild is tilted on my car lower to the left. So is that ok?

    Thanks,

I think I have radar detector OCD or something. jk
