They don't use differnet LO's for each band. However, there is 3 LO's in the unit. Unlike many other detectors that only sweep the first LO, in the Belscorts sweep both the first and second LOs. Not sure about the third...

Is this the "fundamental mixer technology" which they used to describe in their ads?

I just assumed that there was a LO for X, a LO for K and a LO for Ka band, which might be different configuration since it was sweeping a wider range of frequencies.

Hard to say what they meant by that...could have been a lot of different things. Mostly marketing jargon I would guess

In that case, would there be 3 things to "adjust" with the screwdriver?

Just a suggestion guys.......... Radar Detectors are sensative instruments..........if you are going to be twisting on any pots inside there with the casing off I suggest you DO NOT use a metal screwdriver..........use a plastic precision screwdriver. A metal one will have a negative effect on the tuning and there is much more risk of static hits, especially if you are messing around with it in your car.

Just to let you ppl know I had indeed succeeded in getting my RX65 back to working condition now picking-up KA frequency and all other bands with acceptable results. Lots of patience, times, trial and error
    adjustment resulting a fruitful results.
