How could you test if your detector is dead on Ka Bands?
haha, yeah I know how but I was talking about for myself because I have left it outside in the sun a few times. And i have passed some LEO's where I was on a divided highway and I saw them brake but my detector did not go off, and there was no way they could tell I was speeding unless they used radar.
and i've never recieved a 33.8 nor a 34.7 reading on my detector yet (besides 35.5) So is there anyway I could test it without having a radar gun?
and in the "best radar detector thread" i posted the same question but you've already responded in this thread, sorry about that
You need a Ka band radar source to test your Ka band sensitivity. This means a LEO or a Ka band radar gun, either bought or rented, since there are very few Ka band false alert sources out there.
alright much appreciated
