    Default Dropped my 955

Well, I dropped my 955 on my asphalt driveway last week, and of course it would not turn on. I've sent it in to Bel to see if it can be repaired. Hopefully it'll come back as good as new.

Belscort covered my 9500ci's radar antenna that was chewed on by a f**king squirrel. If they don't cover a dropped v955, that's weak!

When they put the new antenna in did they use some loom this time to protect the wires?

Nope, we just mounted it back up higher. It happened while I was camping, so it's not an every day concern.

I cracked the LED display cover, scuffed the silver sticker, and a few other scuff marks which I'm sure I'll have to live with.

I also dropped the 1st Bel detector I ever owned, probably about 15 years ago. I called customer service, fully intending to have to pay the repair fee. She simply told me, "I know we all sometimes have a bad day. We'll replace it 'under warranty.'" No charge! Made me a Bel customer for life.

Guess I've got the dropsies - time to get a shock-proof carrying case!

I hate to laugh dj, but that sounds like the makings of a funny tv commercial.
Damn squirrels, they rank right up there with the raccoons....

I wasn't laughing, that's for sure. My woman knew not to even try to cheer me up. It's all good now though.
