Well, I dropped my 955 on my asphalt driveway last week, and of course it would not turn on. I've sent it in to Bel to see if it can be repaired. Hopefully it'll come back as good as new.

Any cosmetic damage?
wat! thats weak...it doesn't even turn on!
good luck....
hopefully they won't charge and nothing serious..
I cracked the LED display cover, scuffed the silver sticker, and a few other scuff marks which I'm sure I'll have to live with.
I also dropped the 1st Bel detector I ever owned, probably about 15 years ago. I called customer service, fully intending to have to pay the repair fee. She simply told me, "I know we all sometimes have a bad day. We'll replace it 'under warranty.'" No charge! Made me a Bel customer for life.
Guess I've got the dropsies - time to get a shock-proof carrying case!
