rx65 vs Vector 995?

Anyone know if there is much firmware difference between the RX65 and the Vector 995? Do they have similar capabilities as far as detection range goes?

Aside from very slight feature and cosmetic differences, both are the same radar detector. One thing to consider is if you plan to mount either RD next to or above your rear view mirror. The Vectors have a display which isn't tilted back nearly as much as in the RX65. This makes a Vector display easier to read when mounted high.

I happen to have both the V995 and RX65 and both are very close in perfomance. The RX65 has a few extra features.

I would get the new Escort c65, basically a rx65 with out Ku, which you do not need.

I didn't even know that Escort was selling a RX65 clone without KU band. I checked the price on the Escort web site and have to agree very good price for a C65. I would agree better than the RX65 or V995.
