False laser alert behind cars brake lights

I tried searching throughout the forum for people with similar experiences, but I couldn't find anything. Anyway, this is crazy. I noticed on my RX65 when i'm behind a car with bright brake lights it would go off on laser alert for no reason. It mostly happens when i'm in a traffic jam and you have to constantly stop behind a car at a short distance just behind their bumper. By the way, I keep my RX65 mounted just underneath the rear view mirror. I know i'm not being lasered in slow traffic so that's not the case. So this is my question to you guys. Are the newer cars these days using LED lighting on the brake lights as opposed to the norm and that would cause the false laser alert?

LED light can do it as can neon lights, usually the third eye brake light on some SUVs are neon, those do it all the time.

+1. I've encounted this as well. I find that some big rigs also trigger a laser false.
