It depends what you want.If you want Ku band,software updates via internet and gps buy the GX65. But if you want full immunity buy the STi. Welcome to forum!

In my country is legal to use RD,only in Greece is illegal to use RD
I don't want full immunity ,i want the best,performance RD and I don't want false alarms to fuel station,doors,etc.

Radar detectors in Greece are illegal only if you use them without a specific licence from Greek "FCC". If you don't want full immunity,you want the best performance and you don't want false alarms to door opoeners etc then buy the GX65.

Now I use Beltronics RX65 and every time I go near a gas station or automatic door openers, my detector sounds in my band K(all my friends use the same RX65 or STi and all keept on Autoscan,and get the same sounds,false alarms if go near automatic door openers in the town shops).
In my country the police use the band K for the radars and I was tired, every time I go near a gas station or automatic door openers my detector sounds in my band K and the police cars hiding after the gas station started with the radar and you can not tell if is the false alarm or a radar in that area.
The GX65 is realy not even give false alarms near automatic door openers in band K ?

I personally prefer the Escort 9500ix over the GX65 if you have access to Escort products.

1. The 9500ix will automatically learn false alerts, whereas the GX65 has to be manually programmed to eliminate false alerts.
2. I like the 9500ix's expert display over the GX65's threat display.
3. The 9500ix has a blue display, whereas the GX65 has a red display.
4. I personally like the Escort tones over the Bel tones.

Other than these things I have mentioned, these two RDs are pretty much the same product. In case you don't know, Bel and Escort are the same company, often referred to as "Belscort" around here.

That's my opinion, but these 2 RDs are very similar and are made by the same company.

I have used the GX65 for several weeks and I also own the 9500i which is pretty much the same as the 9500ix in detection and I believe the GX65 has only a slight edge on Ka band. The 9500ix is only $40 more if you get red and has much more features. I would go for the 9500ix over the GX65. The GX65 in my opinion also gives a lot of false alerts compared to the 9500i or ix.
