    Default KU band alert

It's coming to a local station near you.

Yesterday my GX65 alerted a KU band warning for the second time now. Either the radar skip is running really good, or this stuff is on our side of the pond now. Anyone else notice this?

Satellite dishes can cause Ku band falses.

That could be the case. I am constantly learning something new every day from this site.

Can you imagine us spending this crazy amount of money on RD's and LASER JAMMERS and and then getting busted with KU band . Think about it, we all run with KU band off with good reason because we know its not here nore is it ever planned to be here but if a few police departments used them here and there it would cause havok till we caught on.

Well currently there is no indication that Ku band is used anywhere in the US or Canada. No Ku band guns have been certified for operation, AFAIK. If it were, members of this board would probably be the first to hear about it. Until then, keeping Ku on is just asking for more falses from communications systems than we already get today.

^ They use pop here, so that needs to stay on.

Why do you think they use pop in Oregon?
