V995

Anyone out there using a Beltronics V 995? I have a chance to get one at a discount and was wondering what actual users think about it.

You have the S7 based one not M4 right?

I had a S7 V995. It was an excellent radar detector. Some guy in Texas now is a mighty happy camper using it.

I used one before upgrading to the STI. 995 is a good performer.

Certainly a quality product.3 saves in 3 months,lol.Note that in 'tech' mode you can distinguish different LEOs via the radar gun freq sometimes,comes in handy in ny parts.

Yeah, in a lot of respects, the V995 is hidden gem which doesn't get talked about much. Yet those who own it love it.

Don't have a 995, but its identically performing and chepaer brother, the 955 has yet to disappoint me. Hasn't got me pulled over since I bought it 2 years ago, and serves as my primary detector. The 8500 X50 sits in its case ready for occasional use.
