Sti R Discontinued ?

I've noticed that some sites/retailers have been listing the STi R at reduced prices, and now the STi R is no longer listed on Bel's web site.

Has it been discontinued................

Wow it is gone. I guess the redline was its replacement. But why not get rid of STi?

If you google Bel sti-r and click on bel's listing it says it is out of stock.

Great question, if so maybe I should steal a deal on the STi-R.

I wonder if they have something new coming out along the lines of a remote mount Redline?

I have to say Belscort (maybe just Escort) is certainly making moves...

MAYBE JUST MAYBE... they are going to be essentially making a 9500ci+Sti-R combo: AKA the Sti-R detection, WITH GPS, WITHOUT the ZR-4 at (about) the same price-point... essentially a 9500ci without the ZR-4.


OR they may be fazing out Bel.

They have left many oddities aka:

If the Redline is the replacement, WHY not just get rid of the STi, not Sti-R?

Will the new product (if there is one) be a Escort or Bel (aka: is Bel being assimilated)?

Why do it now with another product just coming out at the exact same time?

etc...
