Try the Valentine One or 9500ix first. No radar detector jams police radar; they only detect it. What vehicle is the RX75 installed on?

The blocking is for laser not radar. What color is the civic? Can you post a pic? This will tell me how good the jammers will be on your car. If you wanted to, you could run the RX75 and V1 together. That would be a good combo.

Yea, the shifters that come with the Rx75 wouldn't be strong enough to protect your vehicle. I recommend upgrading to either a Blinder M27 or Laser Interceptor Dual.

Now, the radar portion of the RX75 is solid.

No. That would be too low. Place them in the upper grille. V1 and M27 would be a good combo.

V1+RX75+M27 would be even better. You would turn off the laser jammers of the RX75 and run the M27 as your laser defense. That would give you two radar detectors (the V1 and RX75).

Probably. You can't mount the jammers on the hood because you'll shake them every time you open and close your hood. Cutting the grille is a minor sacrifice compared to what you will gain. Lots of laser in Houston so a good, solid laser jammer setup is essential.

Questions are good and always welcome. We were all newbies at one point or another.
