    Default GX-65 Software Update... Wooohooo

Looks like they finally threw us a small bone.
Not that they changed anything we have discussed much, but hey.

    ( GX 65 Version 1.0 )
About GX 65 Software Update v1.0

    1.Added Traffic Sensor Rejection.
2.Fixed a preferences menu issue where it wouldn't show the pilot options properly.
3.Fixed X & K AutoMute issue where at a certain signal strength it would not go into AutoMute.
    4.Fixed THT display range from 0 - 9 to 1 - 9.
5.Redlight and Speed Cameras now use heading direction to determine if the detector should alert the user.

Unfortunately they also broke the ability to merge in my marked and locked locations with new database updates. Not even a restore from backup fixes it, so I've lost all my locks/marks.

    Bummer!
I wont be able to check that till I go to work tomorrow for a locked location.

However, the correct heading for RLC and speed cams does work and makes it a lot less noisy.

Direction heading alone is worth it, even if I have to remark locations.

Had a nice quiet ride home yesterday with the cameras on the other side of the freeway and it was silent.

I hate explaining to people riding with me when it goes off, and the cam is on the other side.

This is a bit off the topic but you gx-65 owners might be able to help me. I have an sti-r plus and i'm assuming the autolock software is the same. What i'm wondering is if you manually lock out a false like one of those traffic sign trailer things when its no longer present will it automaticly unlock that false or will i have to manually unlock it?

The GX-65 does not have autolock, but I can answer the question. If you manually lockout a false alert, the STi-R Plus's auto-unlock will eventually unlock it if the alert if it no longer exists. The STi-R Plus places more weight on manual lockout than an automatic lockout, meaning it takes longer to auto-unlock a manual lockout than an automatic lockout, but it will eventually unlock that signal.

Cool thanks for answering that DJ. For some reason i have a phobia of using manual lockout, thinking i'm going to lock out a large frequency block then miss a low powered k band photo van.
