Welcome to the club. You will be one of the few Elantra owners with an STI-R.
I think I'm one of the new Elantra owners who have a thermal camera in it too.

This is totally possible. This is my third winter with it and it is exposed to the elements pretty well. On Wednesday night I must have had 2-3 inches of ice on the front of my car including the Sti-R.

I got my RMA early this afternoon for my STi-R and I am just waiting on the UPS label.
I'll race you to see who gets theirs back first!

After literally 4 hours on hold, and 2 hours of that past their closing time, I gave up on the RMA, I'll have to call tomorrow

my 9500CI is 1 year old. So far it crapped out 2 times. The rear shifters did not alert to the LR-B right out the box and the radar head crapped out 7 months after purchase. Escort is a little slow to fix the issue but had no problem with the RMA.

My 9500ci has been solid, but then again, I don't have much weather here. The only problem I ever had with my radar antenna is when a squirrel ate it, which is obviously not a manufacturing problem. My rear ZR4 did die during its first rain storm though.
