Default RX-65 Weak on K band

I was running my RX-65 today for a change of pace. And I noticed that it does pretty good against X band and Ka band. But against my normal K band false locations the RX-65 seems to really lag behind where my other RD's alert even my 9500ix and 8500x50. I can understand it not being as good as the V1/Redline but I would think it would be about the same on K band as the 9500ix/8500x50. Anybody else notice that K band is lacking on their RX-65?

    My M4 RX65 lags on K band compared to my V1 and S7 X50.

It's decent on Ka, and I run with X off. If you're in an area where K isn't used, it's a great detector to use.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Are the LEO's in your area actually using X?

Lately I have been running both STi R and a RX65 testing the STi R against the known performance of the RX65. In K band the RX65 is about 2-4 seconds behind the STi R, both providing plenty of warning with CO.

Yes the county Police still use X band quite a bit. I have heard of some other IN counties using X band also. If your ever in Indiana turn X band ON.

The RX-65 has the M4 platform, does it not? That's the same as what the 8500x50 and the 9500ix uses. If that's the case, wouldn't there be a possibility that your detector may need to be sent in?

Thats what I was thinking. I thought the performance should be really similar to the 9500ix.

Isn't the 9500ix the same as the STi R ?

It isn't, the STI-R uses the M3 platform, which is belscort's most sensitive platform. The RX-65 is the M4 platform, which is shared by the 9500ix and the 8500x50.

Other than a redline, what is the top of the line Escort?

^That would be the Escort 9500ci which is a remote mount radar detector. Also, the bel STI-R shares the same platform as both the Redline and the 9500ci.
