Sti-R picked up K-band leakage from another detector in another car

I kept getting a K-band alert, the STi-R showing 24.043 as the frequency, for about 10 miles. There was a group of cars up ahead running together almost nose to tail. When I got close to them I started to get a K-band alert from the Sti-R. I turned on my Valentine One and it did not alert to K-band at all.

Later on when the road changed from 2-lane to 4-lane the cars ahead separated and I was able to isolate it to one car. That car had a radar detector mounted on the windshield. I'm not too hip on all the different detectors, so I couldn't tell by glancing at it what make it was. It was interesting that the Valentine One didn't alert at all. I was running the STi-R in Highway mode and the Valentine in 'A' mode.

Some Cobras and Unidens actually have K band leakage. The STi-R must be more sensitive on K band, so it picked up the LO emissions while the V1 did not.

Last week I saw K band on the V1 and STi-R with no ramp up (sat at 3-4) for many miles. You know what it turned out to be? An Audi! The STi-R did filter it out at times, but it still showed up. I think it was 24.068.
