Well if the price point is right, I would invest in both for my next RD upgrade. If the interference theory is sound. I honestly don't have a clue.
I'd pay as much as $800 for it, but idealy would be $600.
The STi-R we tested was perfect on Ka Band but did not perform as well as expected on K-Band. A different STi-R was tested afterwards performed nearly as well on K-Band as Ka. So there appears to be some variation that was probably due to different hardware/firmware versions and perhaps the individual unit itself.
However, I did note that during your test, the periods between shots was not kept to a minimum of 10 seconds. One factor that needs to be taken into account when testing the V1 is that it will park on a Frequency for 10 seconds after taking an initial alert. Therefore, to get valid results on the V1, you need to pause at least 10 seconds between shots.

Is there a specific thread that discusses the interference of the M3 vs M4?
Edit: The search tool seems to be messed up.

I LOL'd... that is how much it SHOULD cost ($800-$1k), but we all know it will cost $1,100-$1,400, which is moronic. The price is what killed the STi-R, not the performance... Belscort is just too stupid to understand that... and so it shall kill the STi-R PLUS eventually as well.
Simple math says 9500ci ($1,600) minus ZR4 Shifters ($450) equals STi-R Plus ($1,150).
Beltronics will probably make that an even $1200 but since the 9500ci has always been overpriced (by any measure of combined functions) I'd really like to see Bel bring this RD within reach of more customers and make the $$$ on higher volume sales. So yep, I think it would make more money for Escort priced at $800 but fear the Execs (who don't know the price of a loaf of bread) will not go any lower than $1k for sure.
