It would be interesting to see if the Euro STIR + is more sensitive then the North American version... Im wondering if the added software features (code) on the NA version creates a slight bottleneck to the cpu(embedded chip) thus slowing down the unit or reaction time etc ?

Thinking about how less is better...consider how "rdr" off feature makes a big difference with this unit.

I have 08 model and sent it in for ramp up fix when it first came out. Anyone know if there is an update to get 09 like k band performance? My k band range and detection is pretty bad...

there are 3 kind of stiR's that will perform different on different bands

a 08 model sometimes does not have pre ka fix on it/rampup issue fixed also k band is not good but can be awesome on ka band

a 09 stiR like i have k band is frickin awesome! so is ka band

a 2011 stiR+ i have not tested really yet so i don't know of anything yet besides both my stir's are close on performance

my v1 that i just got tuned up is performing poorly and I'm getting rid of it forget the arrows I'm about performance,i got my rear view mirror for the arrow

having owned both Euro Version and NA. I believe the Euro version to be more hot.
