    Default 995 v. rx65

    Can any1 tell me what the difference between these 2 radars are?

    I searched for quite a while and couldnt find anything

    The 995 can't display multiple threats.
    It doesn't include the smartcord
    It doesn't include the metal travel case
    It doesn't have USA mode Ka scanning.

    Other than that, it's the same.

    whats usa mode ka scanning?
    and i saw pic of the smartcord, but whats speacial about it?

    USA mode scans only the three Ka frequencies used in the USA, rather than the whole band. Sensitivity goes up some by scanning only what you need and omitting the rest.


    The smartcord has a mute button on the plug, and alert lights, while the standard cord with the 995 does not.

    Default yes but dangerous scanning just 3

    you better watch out, unless the officer has his gun in tune sure the ka usa is the way to go, but if you get a cop whose outta tune a little and maybe the usa mode doesnt pick it up. or the ka photo radar? dan

    I wouldn't worry too much about out of tune guns for USA mode. The bandpass for each freq is +/- 100 MHz. That is the same as what it is for K-Band.

    so you dont think it will miss any in usa mode i had mine on int because everyone was saying it might miss an out of tune one

    The Radar Gun would have to be way out of tune, to the point where it would not give an accurate speed reading. (correct me if I'm wrong Jim)

    Use USA mode :wink:
