Default Replacing V940 looking at V995

I am looking at replacing an M4 V940 and I am looking at a V995. Is it the same but has more features or is it more sensitive? I am looking for something in the same price range as the V995 but am not sure if it is substantially better than what I have. Any thoughts?

The V995 won't perform any better than your V940. The extra features are nice, but not worth the extra cost. Not many better options in your price range. The RX65 is a tad better in USA mode, but for a large jump in performance, you need to step up to an M3(RedLine, STi Magnum, etc) or a V1.

    RX65 or higher.

You could probably swoop on a used STI Driver off ebay for around $200 or so now a days. Send it into Beltronics for the STI Magnum upgrade for an extra $100 and get near the best of the line detection range. Basically you get a brand new detector =)

Yeah, the RX65 is as low as you should go. For the few extra bucks you get USA mode (which is a real performance boost) and a detector that will work with the new Escort Live / smartphone apps if your interested down the road.

I have decided to keep the 940 until I can afford something with the M3 horn. Thanks for all the input you confirmed what I beleive I already read. Thanks Everyone!

If you want the M3 horn, used STI Driver upgraded to an STI Magnum is the cheapest route at around $300 to $350
