Question about STI-r+ location alerts

Is there any way to make the redlight/speedtrap alerts more succinct? Can you mute the alert? Every time I hit mute, nothing happens.

I've got 4 red light cameras on my daily commute. Do I just unmark them? Is it just useful for unknown locations?

You can unmark a marked location alert by pressing the mark button a few times while receiving an alert. Note that if this location is from Defender (not one that you personally marked) then it will be added again the next time you update/merge Defender using Detector Tools.

You can also disable all marked location alerts, by category, in the preferences menu of the detector under MARKERS. rCam = red light cameras, sCam = speed cameras, sTrap = speed traps

I was thinking about this more after I posted this. I wish there was a way to mark a location with a different alert than the standard alert. Maybe give the option to pick an alert style when marking it or at least give the option to mute it. It's a PITA when on the phone via speaker/bluetooth & this loud announcement comes on that I can't do anything about.

Think about it, if the detector is smart enough to know that you've passed a spot 3x with the same signal/band that it marks it automatically, why couldn't it mark known ('frequently visited') location alert spots with a much more succinct alert?
