this unit is lightning fast with x band off, k on, ka usa, pop off, tsr off, and lsr off(have blinder m27 jammers and the unit flases in sunlight too much so i shut it off. and this thing picks instant on/quick trigger and eats them up. so many stories to tell but ill get a alert ka band a good 2 miles up and silence then a beep stronger-i know hes running instant on and i let peeps go by me and he was backed up mustang cobra unmarked behind the median brush and had rear facing 34.7 ka instant on and at top of hill pro300 blurred out just like a full laser alert to let u know he nailed you with instant on ka band...really impressed with off axis and i mean outstanding off axis compared to the rx65. and the range is tremendous with the pro300 especially k band increase and ka band sensitive. and losing sws, and no ku band with new lens made for a lightning fast radar and i wonder if i buy the magnum from bel try for 30 days and see and compare with know sources for teasting purposes but i honestly think the bel pro300 usa mode would equal or be within a second to each band detection ikn testing. this based on results and my personal owning the pro300 and know how good it is and see youtube videos with the magnum and my pro300 does equall or better in raw detection. mines the first 633 made so maybe we got a freaky good radar(we i mean me) and its only downfall is laser sun falsing thus i turn this off as i have the blinder m27 working just fine jamming every gun in florida in my neck of the woods.

i had the m4 rx65 but s7 995v. the pro300 blows both away with respect to any detection period...on and off axis and range..

i know that it dose not have Ku band on it i called Beltronics and they said
that all the Pro300 came with SWS ???

interesting. you know i called bel about the sws when it arrived in july. my serial number is 633. the bel guys said that some units had the sws and then decided to scrap it altogether on the pro300. so im assuming since my serial number is 633-one of the first 1000 made, they either made these changes after mine or before. i dunno what to tell you except that kinda sux. i wouldnt wanna pay the money to have it set back since just shutting it off should be fine but like someone told me before, maybe i just got a "hot" unit...i dunno, but theres no sws on the pro300.(when i called, they said they had it on a couple and decided to scrap the sws at the end...so maybe your unit is either above or below mine 633. mine is a pretty low number and got mine in july 3rd(before they were released to public) as i was trading the rx65 in for new pro300 so i didnt have to wait.
bottom line, i did call bel about the sws and they told me what i said above. does your unit respond well in every other way and how do you like it as compared to previous models...
im feeling pretty lucky i got the unit i did, sws isnt used except in a few spots and the idea never really caught on but its all good. just shut it off but thats weird that your unit has it, whats the serial number-just curious if before my 633 or after,

i had a Rx65 m4 and traded it back in for a Pro300 and it is a lot better on K band
it seams to be a lot faster on Ka band also but only time will tell in the real world. the
S/N # on my unit is ce000120 2212 maby ESCORT RADAR can let us know why they
made some of the Pro 300s with SWS and some without and why i think that is pretty
CRAPPY to do there customers that way.


also i do have SWS truned off and X band and pop !!

dude, my pro300 has no sws. serial 000633 but to your point on k band and off axis k band. dude this is crazy. a k band drone sitting 2.3 miles on the road im making a left turn on.
before i make the left still facing north, i begin getting k band 1 blipps. i turn left toward the k band drone. odometer checked 2.3 miles toward the sign still never lost the k band drone sign. the ramp up is crazy good too. on my rx65, i maybe got 1 mile k band and forget about off axis. the pro300 doubled the rx65 k band range and off axis problems. the unit responds same to ka bands. sick on and off axis raw detection.
glad someone besides me is writing this stuff down. i may try to use my ipod to record the off axis and the range with respect to the k band drone nailing it on all 3 tries from facing north while the drone is west(left). 2.3 miles from the turn and i was getting k band while at the light 2.3 miles away. pro300 is so good man. dont know why they scrapped sws on some units like mine and others like yours have it. anyways, ill see if i can hold video steady cause you guys gotta see this detection.

Man i hope ESCORT RADAR will jump in and explan why some Pro 300s have SWS and others do not and will the unit be the same if u just cut off the SWS vs not having it at all i think that this is bad Judgement and very very CRAPPY to do there Customers this way.

escort/bel told me when i got mine when i called, they said they decided to scrap sws but some had the sws and some didnt...makes no sense. i think youll be fine cutting it off. but i dunno. it seems like your unit is working good/ do u have tsr in your area...if no, be sure to cut tsr off too...or youll miss alot of k band shots, or a big delay before you get them..i had to test out before i cut mine off, they come with tsr engaged now and tsr isnt even in florida and many other states..

SWS was removed in the current Escort Live compatible software for the Pro300. If you have a Pro300 and update the software of your Pro300 for Escort Live via the SmartCord Live cord then SWS will be removed from your Pro300. I'm not sure why but I do know that SWS is extremely rarely used. I would imagine that SWS will not be in our detector models going forward.
