Default hope this isnt a valentine forum moderator or ill be kicked out

i dont care about what people say about it anymore but the valentine units are garbage in this 2012. its old, like the old 80's box escort radars looked like(if u can remember) im old enough and actually owned the 80's excort/passport and then switched to bel in 1990 and never looked back.
look, the v1 with its arrows (whoopy) doesnt help when u get a ticket cause its off axis stinks compared to a new bel sti magnum, pro 300, escort x50 black, or any one of the many updated new belscort products. besides belscort detectors can tell you where to be looking for the leo if you are familiar with the tone patterns and will know when hit from behind or instant on or off axis. the ramp ups are so improved and keeps getting sleeker and better. what has valentine done...nothing, copied belscorts upgrades(or tried too) and is good for highway detection straight on and is a chatterbox in town and a piece of garbage as i dont want a chatterbox i want the cool new designs and updated detector ability which belscort gives and continues to give.
the 300. dollar bel pro300 will kick the valentine but in every way. and cant wait for some testing to come out to prove this. v1 needs a facelift and size down the unit, lose the nob, lose the entire valentine appearance and get with the year 2012. and if the pro300 and x50 black are better than the v1, cant even compare it too the sti magnum which is simply the best winshield mount out there. heck ide rather have 3 or 4 different makers before a v1 but im not trying too hate, but the v1 is so outdated and they need to keep up with the times and when my buddy drives with his it never shuts off as the filtering stinks unless you kill it with cutting bands off. with belscort, their tsr shuts 90% of k band and x band falsing without giving up any real threats.
however if innstant on k band is in your area alot i would leave tsr off. i just turned mine off since here in florida where im at, theres only 1 town within 30 miles that uses k band so tsr makes for a quiet ride.
cant wait to see all the haters hate on me for saying all this about valentine but guys its true and sick of hearing about the "arrows" if this continues to be their only selling point....whatever. but try a belscort and youll never turn back and will see what i mean

Yeah, I don't know why some run a V1 with their 9500 or + or just run the V1 by itself.

How's the Belscort Kool-aid tasting? Good?

Don't worry you won't get banned for stating your opinion. A lot of users on this forum can't stand V1 and the same goes for belscort, that being said...
A lot of people like to run detectors together so they can test them and see the differences, also for some people it gives them an extra sense of security, 90% it actually won't unless you know how to set the detectors up correctly and have the correct detectors, since most of the lower class detectors will cause other detectors to alert.
not only have I seen plenty of test videos of some of the most top of the line detectors but I've used some of the best as well, including a V1, and I'll tell you one of the best set ups I ever had was with Beltronics Sti-R Plus, the V1, and my LI Dual. There where indeed times that the V1 would alert before the Plus, not often but it did happen, and I absolutely loved the arrows on the V1. Its a good detector and the little extra you have to pay for the arrows is worth it. The off axis on the V1 may not be as high as the magnum or redline, but it does its job, and I can't wait to get my hands on a V1 again.

Put the pipe out and run your escort. Don't cry momma when the IO kick your ass. Fine to run what you like, don't slam what you do not know about. V1 does what is does and it does it well.

Reads like the ramblings of an insecure noob.

You like your Bel detector, that's great, but you need to drop the superiority complex dude. The V1 is a serious piece of hardware and the RF technology inside is no older than the newest Bel/Escort. In fact, it's no bigger than the STi Magnum you're gloating over and weights about half as much........and is MUCH quicker. Be a smart Belscort fanboy.........respect the V1.

Do what I do. Run the 9500ix in town (zero falses). Run the V1 on open road trips only.

Watch the Belscort completely outperform the V1 on this encounter (beginning at around the 50 second mark).

Nasty ambush speed trap! RCMP hiding behind an overpass at Books Alberta on Tuesday August 28, 2012, shooting instant-on Ka 34.7 at passing vehicles. Bel STiR-Plus and Valentine 1 detect a very brief alert approx. 4.5 miles prior, then nothing until the speed trap. The V1 detects the direct instant on ambush prior to the STiR-Plus, and does a great job pointing it out with the arrows.

STiR-Plus segmented (2,5,8). V1 default, "A" mode, Ka Guard "on"
